Eng. Omer Badokhon, CEO of TRI-S Initiative, met with the Director of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Office and Director of the Ministry of Agriculture Office of Hadramout Coast.

The meeting came to discuss ways of cooperation and coordination to implement some initiatives and projects that relate to the field of agricultural and environmental development.

Mr. Omar Al-Ashwali, Director of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Office, expressed his happiness with the initiative and presented the office’s willingness to achieve the ideas put.

By his side, Mr. Awad Balkeiman, Director of the Ministry of Agriculture Office, expressed his happiness with the visit and the total cooperation between the three destinations to achieve the development needed in the society.

The meeting reviewed the urgent needs in the agricultural sector in the coast of Hadramout and discussed ways of collecting small farmers and reviewing some important statistics and studies in this important production sector.

Solutions for Sustainable Society (TRI-S) is an initiative working to create a sustainable lifestyle of rural communities in Yemen by spreading awareness and creating efficient solutions that ensure sustainable and clean environment. TRI-S launched in 2018 by the governor of Hadramout Governorate and works with a network of partners to improve the livelihood styles and build a circular green economy that enhances the sustainable consumption and production around Yemen. TRI-S’s is to improve livelihoods, empower women, and protect the environment by enhancing green economy and creating a sustainable lifestyle in the targeted communities.
